The following comparison results come straight from our shop’s DynoJet, to ensuring a true, accurate performance comparison between this ALL-NEW Next Gen Stage 2 turbo and its predecessor NX2 and it’s closest rival the BNR600
With Precision Turbo’s Next Gen technology, we’re seeing peak power of 417WHP and 480WTQ on 93 pump gas, in comparison you typical Stage 1 (NX2) will generatively be around 370-380WHP on 93 octane. When swtiching to E85 we’re able to crank things up to 559 wheel horsepower and 607 wheel torque — Your typical Stage 1 (NX2) will be around 480-500WHP range, all with supporting mods and our custom tuning. Now, to be fair and transparent we did find that we have a few hundred RPM in lag compared to the previous Stage 1 (NX2) but thanks to PTE’s incredible twin-scroll design full boost is delivered under 5,000 RPM. It is fair to note that we used the stock wastegate provided by PTE during all of our testing so it is possible so say that with an aftermarket wastegate we will see more power through the entire curve.
The spools time of the Next Gen Stage 2 is similar to that of the BNR525 but with the peak power potential closer to the BNR600. The Stage 2 features PTE’s Next Gen aero technology with an all new compressor wheel design featuring a 56mm inducer and 76mm exducer and a larger turbine wheel with a 62mm inducer and 56mm exducer. The Stage 1 (NX2) and now Stage 2 turbos both use a stainless exhaust housing and fitment is still the same with no fitments changes required.
