Engine Warranty

Engineered Motorsport Solutions (EMS) engines, engine rebuilds, and
short blocks are covered by a 1 year unlimited mile warranty. The warranty
covers the craftsmanship of the engine build, but not the components of the
build, as EMS does not manufacture the block, pistons, or rods.

– The warranty covers the craftsmanship of the engine build, but not the components of the build, as EMS does not manufacture the block,
pistons, rods, or other engine components. For component failure, EMS urges the customer to reach out to the part manufacturer for a warranty claim.

– If the engine reaches the customer and an issue is found after
installation, EMS will request the engine be returned to EMS for
diagnosis and root cause analysis.

– If root cause failure is found to be due to a fault in the craftsmanship of the engine, EMS will cover the costs of repair, the costs to remove and reinstall the engine, shipping to and from EMS, but no other expenses.

– EMS will cover shipping on any engine warranty, but if the engine is sent in for warranty repair and no issue is found when the engine is ran on our test stand, the customer is responsible for all shipping charges to and from EMS.

– If the engine warranty is denied, the customer is responsible for all
shipping charges to and from EMS, removal and installation (at EMS or
3rd party), and any repairs the customer chooses for EMS to perform.

– If the engine has been opened up by any 3rd-party, the warranty is null
and void.

– If the root cause failure is determined to be neglect, improper tuning,
improper installation, or a failure due to another part (failed fuel injector, fuel pump, etc), EMS is not responsible for the repair.

– If a warranty claim needs to be placed, the customer should reach out to EMS via email first. After the initial claim is filed, communication may continue by phone and/or email to try to better understand the issue at hand; no decision will be made on the warranty claim until the engine is at the EMS facility to be inspected by our technicians and/or engineering.

– The engine must be returned to EMS for any warranty work; there are no exceptions this rule.

– If the engine/car is resold, the warranty does not transfer to the new
owner.

– EMS requires datalogs on the base calibration file and the final revision calibration file be sent to ryan@emsinc-tn.com or jessie@emsinc-tn.com using logging parameters that they provide to match your vehicle type
