Knoxville Driveline – Mustang EcoBoost Driveshaft (10r80/6r80) (Rzeppa CV joint)
A direct upgrade over the factory two-piece steel driveshaft, this 1-piece aluminum driveshaft eliminates a known drivetrain weak point on the EcoBoost Mustang. Replacing the factory rubber Guibo disc with a High Speed Rzeppa CV joint, it delivers a stronger, more direct connection with no adapter required — it bolts directly in place of the factory rubber disc.
Switching to aluminum significantly reduces rotating mass, improving acceleration, throttle response, and cornering agility. Despite the weight savings, the design offers greater torsional rigidity than the factory steel unit, reducing driveline vibration and improving power transfer to the wheels. Installation is straightforward, though emergency brake cable bracket clearance or relocation may be necessary.
Installing a Rear Subframe Lock Out before installing this driveshaft is required. Failure to reinforce the rear cradle properly may result in driveline damage and will void the warranty.
