Torque Steer and wheel hop are two massive problems for the Ford Focus ST. Both wheel hop and torque steer are caused in part by chassis deflection in the LCA pickup points as well as deflection of the LCA bushing. This deflection causes small but critical changes in alignment, specifically toe, while getting on the throttle hard. The Torque Gusset Traction Bar braces these critical junctions and helps eliminate wheel hop and torque steer by preventing changes in alignment under hard acceleration or launches.
