HOW DOES AN EMS LONG BLOCK REBUILD WORK AND WHAT IS INCLUDED?
You transport your car or ship your old engine to us in East TN. When received at EMS, we will tear down your engine while keeping the cylinder head. Your timing cover, oil pan, timing components, and oil pickup tube will be inspected during tear down. If in good condition, they will be reused in the rebuild unless replacement options are purchased (available below). If your engine is blown, we recommend new timing/oil components in the drop downs. (Camshaft and springs /retainers upgrades are available in the dropdown menu below.) EMS will build a brand new block (or used if provided) using EMS spec standard comp or high comp Mahle pistons, keyed OEM crankshaft, Weisco Boostline Rods, King Main & Rod Bearings, balance shaft delete, new oil pump, and new oil squirters, and new intake and exhaust valve seals. EMS will then marry your freshly decked core OEM head to the new EMS block using EMS spec CA+ 625 head studs and an OEM head gasket. We will install the oil/timing components and covers provided with the core engine to the rebuilt engine and time it. Lastly, EMS will install a new Ford OEM Rear Main Seal. From here, EMS will either ship your engine to you or install it in your car. Shipping and Installation charges are not included.

Engine Shipment Policy – Inspect Before Accepting
EMS is not responsible for any engine damage that occurs during shipping. Before accepting and signing your shipment, you must carefully inspect the pallet or crate for any visible damage. If there is any sign of damage that could have affected the engine, do not accept the shipment. Instead, refuse delivery and have it returned to EMS through the carrier. Finally, contact Susan at EMS to start the claims process. Always inspect your engine before signing the freight carriers Clear Delivery Receipt.
Important: The freight carrier is not automatically responsible for damages once the shipment is signed for. If you accept a damaged shipment, you take full responsibility for any damage, and neither EMS nor the carrier will be liable.
