BNR – ST770 Bolt-On Turbocharger | 2013-2018 Ford Focus ST
The BNR ST770 is one of the most capable stock-location turbocharger upgrades available for the 2013–2018 Ford Focus ST platform.
Designed for high-horsepower EcoBoost builds, the ST770 combines the proven fitment and simplicity of the BNR platform with the airflow capability of a Garrett G30-770 dual ceramic ball bearing center section.
This turbocharger is engineered for customers targeting serious power levels while maintaining responsive street manners and stock-location installation.
The ST770 is intended for properly supported setups including auxiliary fueling systems and built engine combinations. When paired with the correct supporting modifications and calibration, this setup is capable of supporting approximately 580–600+ WHP. (BNR Turbos)
One of the biggest advantages of the ST770 is its balance between spool response and top-end airflow. Compared to the popular BNR ST71 setup, the ST770 offers similar spool characteristics while providing significantly more power potential and efficiency at higher RPM.
Features Include:
• Garrett G30-770 dual ceramic ball bearing center section
• BNR turbine housing with internal wastegate configuration
• Heavy-duty wastegate assembly and swing valve
• Cast turbine inlet adapter
• Cast turbine outlet adapter
• Stainless installation hardware
• Restricted banjo bolt to help prevent oil flooding under high-performance conditions
• Upgraded stainless oil drain tube
• Multi-layer gaskets and installation components
The dual ball bearing CHRA provides improved transient response, durability, and efficiency under elevated boost and high-load conditions compared to traditional journal bearing setups.
This turbocharger is ideal for customers building a high-power Focus ST that still retains stock-location simplicity and clean engine bay packaging.
Recommended Supporting Modifications:
• Auxiliary fueling system
• Built engine or forged bottom end
• Upgraded intercooler
• Free-flowing intake system
• Custom calibration/tuning
• Upgraded clutch and drivetrain support modifications
• 3” exhaust system
Please Note:
This turbocharger is not recommended for stock fuel system applications targeting maximum performance. Additional fueling and proper tuning are required to safely achieve the turbocharger’s full potential. Community feedback and tuner experience consistently show the stock fuel system becomes a limitation near the upper 300 WHP range on larger turbo setups. (Focus ST Forums)
Minor clearance modification near the axle mount area may be required depending on engine mounts and overall vehicle setup.
