EMS – 3.0L Long Block Rebuild for 2020-2024 Explorer ST
The EMS 3.0L Long Block Rebuild for 2020-2024 Explorer ST is a complete rebuild designed with strength and reliability at its core. Each engine is assembled in-house using EMS-spec components and precision machining, making it a solid choice for high-performance EcoBoost 3.0 applications.
The short block is equipped with EMS I-Beam rods for increased durability, Mahle EMS-spec 3.0 pistons for precise fitment and strength, and a brand-new crankshaft and rod bearings. To handle elevated cylinder pressures, EMS-spec ARP 625+ head studs are included, ensuring consistent clamping force under demanding conditions.
The cylinder heads are fully disassembled, cleaned, and resurfaced before receiving extensive upgrades. Each head is pocket ported for improved airflow and sealed with copper O-rings for added reliability. Kelford beehive springs and retainers are installed to provide improved valve control at higher RPMs. All timing components are refreshed, including the VCT solenoid, timing chain, guides, and arms, ensuring the valvetrain is ready for long-term use.
For customers whose cores are not usable, the “Core is Blown Up” option is available for an additional $3,100. This adds new upper and lower block sections, crankshaft, oil squirters, cam phasers, oil pump, valve lifters, timing tensioners, and an oil cooler to ensure the build starts with a clean, fully renewed foundation.
